A Kilt, A Train And A Blue Sky

Beret~Topshop/ Blouse~Zara/ Kilt~Vintage/ Shoes~Asos

If I had a penny for every time I have visited this train station, my pockets would be filled with shiny coins. There's just something about old-fashioned steam engines and how they have retired to the tracks to relax and rust. January can be a very 'meh' month, so to speak. Still in the limbo of Christmas, but with everyone slowly increasing their energy levels and achieving their resolutions. For me it is definitely a month to reflect and stroll, a lot! Winter walks are my absolute favourite. It is as if with each stride comes a new thought and for me that is the magic of this 'meh' month. So each time I myself, come back to this train station, I breathe a sigh of relief that this is where my imagination can chug along.

This kilt was a gift from my mum for Christmas, we had been searching high and low in all kinds of charity shops and vintage corners for months- but alas, all we could find were pleated ones that unfortunately were never in my size. So you can imagine how gleeful my face was when I opened this tartan treasure on Christmas morning. Although, I had no idea a piece of cotton was just making itself at home on the skirt throughout these pictures- but what can you do? :)

Next weekend my boyfriend and I are off to Paris for a couple of days, it is the first proper little holiday we have had together, so I am ever so excited to be visiting one of my favourite cities again. I haven't been since 2010, which in my head sounds like that year was five minutes ago...but actually it is nearly a decade ago. If anyone has any great recommendations of what to see or where to eat, I would absolutley love to hear them.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Lots of love always

Gingham In Heather

Beret~Accessorize/ Dress~ Asos/ Shoes~Primark

Hello again beauts,

Wow what an utterly wonderful Sunday it has been. It is so good to finally have some warm Spring sun and not have to layer up to go out for a walk. I don't know about you but it literally just lifts me up as soon as those rays hit my face.

So this morning I took a stroll around the beautiful gardens of Dartington, I have been there a few times in the last few weeks and everytime I go there it seems more things have sprung from the ground. The colours of fallen Magnolia petals cover the grass in pastel shades and daffodils, tulips and forget-me-nots jazz up the flower beds. Falling into a bush of heather and being soaking wet with dew afterwards was my highlight.
Spring really is a special time of year.

I got this little gingham number from Asos a few weeks ago, I love the little puff sleeves and the old-fashioned cloth like material. I have got the feeling that I will be wearing it to death over the coming months.

This Summer I am really hoping to get a little job working outside, whilst I do like working in the pharmacy I feel like I don't want to be cooped up all day and would rather make less money doing something I really enjoy. Maybe that is just the sun going to my head, but it is definitely a thought that has me excited and up at night. Then who knows, maybe my dream of spending hours amongst flowers daily will become true.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and are enjoying the first few days of April and what it has to offer.

Lots of love always

Baby Blue Beach Hut

Beret~Ebay/Dress~Sister Jane via Asos/Shoes~Topshop

Happy December! Christmas is just around the corner now and what better way to get into the winter spirit than stand next to a load of pastel coloured beach huts....or not!
The beach is my happy place and I try to get there as often as possible. Even on the coldest of days.

My new dress from Sister Jane via Asos is 100% my dream dress.
It has all the perfect elements, from the gingham and the blue to the length and the lace trim.
And just look at the sleeves!
I feel like a Disney character or something, with an extra dash of nostalgia.

Also I just realised whilst putting these pics up that I had left the side tag still on, woops! I must have just been a bit too eager to get dressed up in it. Never mind eh?

I'm going to be doing a few Christmas related DIY's over the next few weeks, so have a little look out for those if you would like.
They will be filled with pompoms and chocolates :)

Lots of Love always

Boy Scouts

Hat~Vintage/ Dress~Asos/ Shoes~Office

Well hello there lovelies!

Wow, well that was a long long break...nearly 6 months I believe. Time really does fly:)
I won't go into all of the reasons as to why I had a lil cheeky vacation from blogging and instead I will say let's look onwards and upwards.
This Asos dress I scavenged in the sale a month or so ago, I love the cross-stitch detail and the fit is tight but still comfortable. It isn't often I wear all black, but with the weird weather so far in 6, it has been a colour I have been embracing a lot.
Anyway, here is to the beginning of a new chapter, which is technically where I left off. It is Spring after all.

Lots of Love

Autumn Leaves & Nautical Sleeves

Playsuit~Asos/ Pearls~Vintage / Tights~Topshop/Shoes~Topshop/Bag~Tiger

Hello lovelies,

Eek, I am so excited that all of  the leaves are changing colour and soon enough there will be plenty of beautiful Autumn leaves to tread and crunch through. Which is honestly one of my favourite past times of, well....all time!
I just love autumn, the colours especially of berries, trees, coats and hats.
So in my previous post I mentioned that I bought two identical playsuits from Asos, but in different colours. So this is of course the blue one, with more typical nautical colours. I love the bib and little tie up ribbon and think it is perfect for this coming season.

What are you going to be wearing this Autumn?

Lots of love
