Monday- Rusty Railway

Beret~H&M/ Turtleneck~Primark/ Pinafore~Mod Dolly
Socks~Primark/Shoes~Topshop

Happy Monday folks!

What a lovely start to the week, the sun is still shining and if you manage to stay out of the wind, there is still a warmth in the air.
I had a day off work and so I decided to go and have a little adventure down by the old railway tracks near my town.

The station itself is so lovely, covered in flowers, pastel guttering and vintage adverts. It is in its own little time warp and is completely silent-apart from the 12 o'clock steam train.

I felt the need to channel one of my favourite films 'The Railway Children' and hop on and off of the old rusty carriages and grassy green tracks. My tartan pinafore from Mod Dolly I have had for a few years now and it never fails to see me through the Autumn/ Winter months.

From now on I am going to make the most of my days off, as there are so many quaint little places for a stroll around Devon.
You honestly never know what you will stumble across.

I will be cooped up working in the Pharmacy until Sunday now, so fresh air and beautiful landscapes are always very welcome.

I do hope your week has begun with a positive bang!

Lots of love always

Hello October: Green Velvet

Beret~Vintage/ Dress~Zara/Tights~Vintage/Earrings~H&M

Hello there and happy October!

Well Autumn is well and truly upon us, the leaves have turned to crimson and mustard
and I am pulling out all of my greens and purples.
Oh and the berets are back :)
As I have expressed before, I just love this season.
The crisp air and the feeling of change.
I went to this delightful village near my home at the weekend, brimming with thatched roofs
and complete with a horse and carriage.
It really does feel like something out of  a film.

I cannot seem to resist anything dark green and velvety these days.
After seeing this dress in Zara I had to immediately snatch it up.
Although it is a little more figure hugging than something I would usually wear,
I am really trying to embrace my body this year.
And what better way to do so,
than in a dress you love!

What is your favourite thing about Autumn?

Snippets Of The Pale Female's Room

As with most people I'm sure, a bedroom is your own little haven. A sqaure shaped room ( in most cases), filled with all the bits and bobs that make you feel at home.
I moved out of my family home  when I was 18 and moved up to London on my own. I am a real hoarder and so over the past six years since moving to the big city, I have collected numerous things that make my little abode shape into a room of things I love.
I started off with two big bags and a guitar and have ended up with a chaise lounge, baskets of dried flowers and about a million tiny mirrors.

Things that make me the most happy in my room:
  1. Plants- they breathe life into the room and just look so darn beautiful.
  2. Fairy lights-I love turning them on in the evenings and watching my room glow pink.
  3. Clothes Rail- Seeing everything hanging up in the cosy corner always makes me feel privileged to have collected some really lovely pieces-at least in my eyes :)
  4. Bed- It goes without saying that everybody loves to chill out in clean sheets at the end of a long day.
I love having a little peak at other people's rooms, tour videos are one of my favoruties. So I thought I would try out a little version of my own. Of course there are things I would like to change about my bedroom, currently all of my books are sitting on shelves in the hall and my shoes are misarrayed around the kitchen, stairs and landing...so there is always room for change. I also need to get my desk and inspiration board into gear, but, all in all I love spending time in my own little space.

What do you love most about your bedroom?

P.S I apologise for the severe lack of hoovering in these pictures. Just don't look into the blue abyss of the carpet!

Lots of love always

OOTD: Velvet, Jewels & Pearls

Headband~Primark/ Earrings~H&M/Dress~Oh My Love/Bag~H&M

Good Evening lovelies,

Brrrr, what a chilly week it has been in London. Getting up at 5am for work is really taking its toll on my reptile like need for heat. However I do really like looking at all the frosty benches and being able to see my breath, like a fire breathing dragon!
I am wearing my favourite sale item, this lovely dress from Topshop. Obviously I was also wearing many layers over the top, but decided to throw them aside so I could feature the lovely bejeweled high-neck. I am really liking high necks so far this year,
My love for hair accessories is still getting there and I love this little sparkly piece I picked up in Primark. Although it practically froze to my head during my wear of it in the crisp air.
I think I went a bit mad with the editing of these pics, I was just trying something new :)

Electric Blue & Milky White

Hat~Ebay/ Sunglassess~Primark/Dress~ Beyond Retro

Happy Monday lovely readers,

Velvet has always been my favourite fabric, no matter the colour or garment, there is something about it that makes me feel good. I love this dress I am wearing, as most of you will know by now I have a really big thing for lace. When I saw the collar and cuffs poking out from a jumble of clothes on a coat hanger, I knew I had to have it.
This hat stays very near to me on sunny days, it is the perfect way to stay cool in the heat and I love its old fashioned nature.
This weather is really making me want to go on a cheeky little holiday, preferably just a week or so in Europe. If you guys have any suggestions on beautiful cities to visit, then please let me know.

Have a glorious week and speak soon
