Harvest Festival

Top~Primark/ Dress~Warehouse/ Necklace~ Good Looking Objects/ Shoes~Asos/ Bag~Vintage

Hello there loves, October is here and all the best vegetables have arrived. Everything is ripening and being picked in all of the beautiful colours that Autumn has to offer.

After being in Bulgaria last week, still soaking up the last of the European sun and relaxing, it was actually a nice surprise to come back to that crisp cool air that greets you after the equinox and into the depths of Autumn. That's not to say I didn't enjoy my hols, because it was definitely a much needed break and Bulgaria is a beautiful and vibrant country.

Whilst desperately rushing around trying to get a snap near some pumpkins on Sunday afternoon, with the rain never ceasing to a halt and me wishing I had worn my big stompy boots, we stumbled across this perfect setting. Hidden in a polytunnel with tomatoes, raspberries and old sunflowers, was this table brimming with pumpkins and marrows of every shape and colour possible. It reminded me of the Harvest festival that was held once a year in my primary school-ever so nostalgic! We felt as if it had been put there just for the occasion, wishful  thinking of course, but a lovelu coincidence none the less.
I also managed to gather some dull pink hydraneas, which I popped in my basket and are now hung up to dry in my room. It's the small pleasures at the weekend like this that make all the hard work in the week pay off.

How has your October been so far?

Lots of love always

Autumn Is Coming

Beret~Vintage/ Blouse~Zara/ Skirt~H&M/ Necklace~C/O Good Looking Objects

Hello my sweets and a very warm welcome to September....well not so warm if you live in England, but more on that later.

September has always been the month I have enjoyed the most, May and March come pretty close, but this month always seems to top them all. I love the change in season, how the trees turn into wonderful autumnal shades, beautiful root vegetables come into season and there is still enough warmth in the air to hang your washing out. Unfortunately, so far this month the weather has been pretty awful here, very windy and rainy, but hey ho- you've just got to make the most of the sunny patches.

My eyes had been on this Zara blouse for a pretty long time, I kept seeing it crop up on Instagram and I even bypassed it in store a couple of times, uming and ahhing over it and deciding whether to wait until pay day or not. Luckily enough, by the time I got my mitts on it, it was already in the sale and I couldn't have been more chuffed.
I also got a very exciting new piece of jewelry to add to my collection this month, a very sweet gift from one of my new favourite brands Good Looking Objects. This little bronze hand has been the cherry on top of my outfits recently and I love how it goes with every single thing I pop on. Its witchy vibes are also a huge plus for me.

I am off to Bulgaria on Saturday, I am so so excited to go somewhere completely new and different. A week to relax in the sunshine like a reptile and climb some mountains. I am sure I will have a whole album of pictures to show you on my return.

Lots of love always

Witch In The Wind

Dress~H&M/ Shoes~Topshop

Hey lovelies!

Okay okay I know Halloween was nearly a week ago, but here is my belated witchy vibe post. I hardly ever wear such dark ensembles but, as it was the time of the season I thought I would go all out.

Off on a mission to see some wild ponies, I went up to the moors
to watch my dress float in the wind and feel some spooky vibes.
To my very joy, we found some magnificent horses, a whole family of them
 and
it was so nice to be silent on a hill with them all.

Being up so high and amongst nature, made me discover where I want to go on my next adventure:
Iceland!
I have always wanted to see the Northern lights and find more quiet and unruined parts of the world- which are getting more and more rare.
I think it will be the perfect place to get back to basics and fulfill a big dream of mine.

This year is almost over and it has been a real whirlwind, never knowing what is around the next corner. I love surprises but for the new year I think I should be a little more organised haha.

Ballroom, Flowers & Campervans

Beret~Accessorize/Flowers~ H&M/ Top~Vintage/Skirt~H&M
White tights~Vintage/ Shoes~Topshop

Hey lovelies!
This week has been a whirlwind of different bits and bobs. First of all I have become obsessed with watching old ballroom dancing-I have literally been staying up until the early hours watching all of these wonderful people in these wonderful outfits-glide across the room with such style and grace.

So, needless to say I wanted to get involved and have been learning a little bit of the Charleston dance, my ankles are killing from all of that swiveling but it has been so much fun.
My best guy friend has been a great sport too and learning with me, so hopefully we will be Great Gatsby ready ever so soon.
One can only wish!

I was also very 70's inspired this week, with camper vans and Autumnal colours and fur. It really has been an eclectic week.
My favourite kind :)

I simply cannot believe we are about to enter November ever so shortly, I know I say this a lot but
where on Earth has this year gone?

Lots of Love

Annual Autumn Wardrobe Essentials

Autumn Staples

As the nights draw in earlier and the frosty air starts to take its first steps, it's time we start thinking about more layering and appropriate attire for the months ahead.

I thought I would share with you some bits and bobs,
that always get me through this time of year.
My essentials,
my staples.

Tartan Skirt
Skirt~Primark

Firstly, is my beloved Tartan skirt. I got this a few years back, from trusty old Primark and find myself wearing it constantly throughout the Autumn period.

For a start, tartan as a pattern is very festive indeed.
But the fabric itself, combined with the pleats create warmth
and give the skirt a more cosy feel.

TurtleNeck Jumper
Gold glitter turtleneck~Beyond Retro

It probably goes without saying, but you can never have enough jumpers to smother yourself in when it is nippy outside. I have a really problem with getting the chills (my circulation is a complete mess), so it is imperative I keep a little less reptilian in Autumn.

Turtlenecks are a great way to warm your whole upper body.
A lot of heat is kept in your neck and your head, so it is important
to keep those bits as hot as possible.

I got this glittery number from Beyond Retro a few years back and it has been doing me a world of good ever since.

Beret
Mustard Beret~Vintage

Okay, so I may be a bit biased when it comes to berets...as my collection of them is obscene-but they are the most important part of this list.

As I mentioned before it is super important that you keep your head warm and so why not do it in style?
Berets make every outfit just that little bit more perky and
I am a real fan of things both practical and pretty.

 Boots
Lace-up boots~Clarks

Whether they be chunky, Chelsea, ankle or knee-high- Autumn is the perfect time to purchase a pair of good old stomping boots.

They come in handy when kicking leaves, treading carefully on icy ground or just having shoes big enough to wear over fluffy socks.

I paired my outfit with these brown lace/zip-up boots from Clarks. They seem to go with most of the earthy and mustard shades of the season and more importantly they are just so comfy!

What are your Autumn Staples?
