Feeling 1970 in 2017

Glasses~H&M/ Blouse~Zara/ Skirt~H&M

Good evening lovelies,

I don't know about you but sometimes on sunny days, when the sky is the brightest of blues and the smell of warmth is in the air, it just makes me want to buy a campervan and travel the world. Listening to music and picking wild flowers to decorate my van with. A bit weird I know, but sometimes I can't help but want to travel back in time and have a bit of a hippy festival life and make log fires and braid my hair.
So that's what I did a couple of weeks ago, when my best friend from London came to stay. I dressed up as some sort of 1970s-suede and floral wearing- plaits woman. We even did some yoga and danced on the decking to some sweet old tracks. And I loved it hah. Sometimes I love nothing more than a good dress-up session and feeling like a time traveler for the day.
Don't get me wrong, I love this life and everything in it, but on the odd occasion it's nice to see how the other half live- of sorts. As usual I stood in front of the nearest bush and took a couple of snaps to show for it.

I am off to Marrakech in a little under two weeks and I cannot wait to see what Morocco has to offer. Please be prepared for some bumper posts on the colour and culture over there. I am half- tempted to take an empty suitcase to fill with market goods, foods and fabrics.

I hope you have all had a lovely week.

Lots of love always

Ballroom, Flowers & Campervans

Beret~Accessorize/Flowers~ H&M/ Top~Vintage/Skirt~H&M

Hey lovelies!
This week has been a whirlwind of different bits and bobs. First of all I have become obsessed with watching old ballroom dancing-I have literally been staying up until the early hours watching all of these wonderful people in these wonderful outfits-glide across the room with such style and grace.

So, needless to say I wanted to get involved and have been learning a little bit of the Charleston dance, my ankles are killing from all of that swiveling but it has been so much fun.
My best guy friend has been a great sport too and learning with me, so hopefully we will be Great Gatsby ready ever so soon.
One can only wish!

I was also very 70's inspired this week, with camper vans and Autumnal colours and fur. It really has been an eclectic week.
My favourite kind :)

I simply cannot believe we are about to enter November ever so shortly, I know I say this a lot but
where on Earth has this year gone?

Lots of Love

Magical Sleeves & Blue Patchwork

Earrings~H&M/ Blouse~H&M/Dress~Primark/Shoes~Topshop

Hey again guys!

Happy Friday!
This week has gone super quick and I have been really enjoying settling back into Devon life.
There are just so many quirky buildings and flowers that are perfect to take snaps in front of.
Not to mention just how colourful everywhere is.
Simply lovely.
After having a bit of a fear of taking the plunge to join the denim dress trend,
I finally jumped on the band wagon...
and boy am I glad I did.
My hips are a lot bigger than the rest of my frame,
so finding the right denim number was tricky.
But low and behold, Primark came through in true form and now me and this garment
are basically inseparable.

Ohh and if I could just have a moment to mention the sleeves on this shirt,
they really have a mind of their own.
Great for swishing in or fanning yourself while flustered!
I've always been a bit of a sleeve girl-the bigger the better I say :)

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend
&
Enjoy the last few sparing moments of warmth in the daytime

Lots of love

Golden Brown Spring

Top. Skirt & Earrings ~ H&M/ Bag~Car Boot Sale/ Tights~Topshop/ Shoes~Topshop

Hey, Hey Spring Chickens!
So Spring has finally come around once again. And although the in-between days, of cold, blistering mornings and warm, breezy afternoons, are fickle and frequent;I am still happy to see the face of a new season.
Although my work days dig into a lot of my week, I am still trying to find time to do little things that perk me up. Whether that means having a Mad Men marathon ( currently in the process of..), or trying to dip my paws into a jar of shortbread biscuits, or the new 70's trend.
I do love a bit of 70's fashion and had been after a skirt similar to this H&M one for a while. Anything with pockets is always a must-have for me, even if it is just small enough to hold my lipstick. It is the perfect waist height and also a great length for my tall frame. The suede material is so comfortable and I love the button detailing. All in all, this skirt is bound to be my spring staple!

Are any of you going to embrace the 70's trend? Let me know :)
