Pagan Poetry

Hello loves,

Every so often these days I find myself dreaming of a much more simple lifestyle. One in which looking at my phone as soon as I open my eyes is much less important than looking out of the window and sniffing the air, as it switches from summer to the beginning scents of autumn.
A couple of weeks ago when my mother and I took these pictures in a wheat field, with the wind blowing in our hair and the view of the moors against the mustard shades of the crops, it made me remember just how important little moments like those are, amongst the hustle and bustle of the lives we lead.
This cotton dress has never made me feel more free, I felt like a Pagan bride with my bunch of hand-picked flowers and bare feet. If I ever was to get married, it would definitely be outdoors.

My best friend and I are trying to book a holiday for September, somewhere to celebrate our 23rd year of friendship. Where we can drink wine, sit in the warmth and reminisce over the best memories we have shared and all the new ones that are to follow. If you have any ideas or experiences around Europe that you would like to share, I would love to hear.

Lots of love always

The Colours Of Spring

Hello my dears,

Another Bank holiday is upon us, how lovely to have an extra day to catch up with bits and bobs. These snaps were actually taken on the Easter bank holiday a few weeks back, so I thought I would try to sneak them into this bank holiday post instead. Although, I have just looked out of my window and the rain is absolutely pouring down, what a contrast to the sunny days just past. Oh well, Sunday's were made for being cosy and curious.

So, when my mum and I were driving back from the garden center a few weeks back, we saw this rapeseed field on the side of the road. The light that was bouncing off of the bright yellow petals was so magical that it was impossible not to take a few pictures. Also, with the opposing greying sky it was truly a moment immersed in the most beautiful of nature. It reminded me of a Depeche Mode album cover I have somewhere in my collection. We had a good sniff of the pollen and ran through the waist-high  stems. Anyway, I really enjoyed it as you can probably tell haha.

I've just got back from a week in Marrakech, so expect a couple of big old posts about the trip and some good places to go if you fancy having a holiday there too.

Hope you have a wonderful bank holiday.

Lots of love always

Feeling 1970 in 2017

Glasses~H&M/ Blouse~Zara/ Skirt~H&M

Good evening lovelies,

I don't know about you but sometimes on sunny days, when the sky is the brightest of blues and the smell of warmth is in the air, it just makes me want to buy a campervan and travel the world. Listening to music and picking wild flowers to decorate my van with. A bit weird I know, but sometimes I can't help but want to travel back in time and have a bit of a hippy festival life and make log fires and braid my hair.
So that's what I did a couple of weeks ago, when my best friend from London came to stay. I dressed up as some sort of 1970s-suede and floral wearing- plaits woman. We even did some yoga and danced on the decking to some sweet old tracks. And I loved it hah. Sometimes I love nothing more than a good dress-up session and feeling like a time traveler for the day.
Don't get me wrong, I love this life and everything in it, but on the odd occasion it's nice to see how the other half live- of sorts. As usual I stood in front of the nearest bush and took a couple of snaps to show for it.

I am off to Marrakech in a little under two weeks and I cannot wait to see what Morocco has to offer. Please be prepared for some bumper posts on the colour and culture over there. I am half- tempted to take an empty suitcase to fill with market goods, foods and fabrics.

I hope you have all had a lovely week.

Lots of love always
