Hello October: Green Velvet

Beret~Vintage/ Dress~Zara/Tights~Vintage/Earrings~H&M

Hello there and happy October!

Well Autumn is well and truly upon us, the leaves have turned to crimson and mustard
and I am pulling out all of my greens and purples.
Oh and the berets are back :)
As I have expressed before, I just love this season.
The crisp air and the feeling of change.
I went to this delightful village near my home at the weekend, brimming with thatched roofs
and complete with a horse and carriage.
It really does feel like something out of  a film.

I cannot seem to resist anything dark green and velvety these days.
After seeing this dress in Zara I had to immediately snatch it up.
Although it is a little more figure hugging than something I would usually wear,
I am really trying to embrace my body this year.
And what better way to do so,
than in a dress you love!

What is your favourite thing about Autumn?

Lots of Love

Painting The Mountains Red

Dress~ H&M/ Bag~Vintage
Hey there June bugs!

So, I have been to Turkey...again, for the third time this year. It really is starting to feel like a second home. This time I have been up in the mountains in Ovacik, at a beautiful hotel named Sahra Su. I would really recommend it, as you have the best of both worlds. Whether you enjoy being amongst the other Brits, laughing away and sunning yourself by the pool; or if you are more like me and enjoy the quieter side, there are plenty of traditional and cultural Turkish villages and magical paths to walk down.
This bright burnt orange/ red dress from H&M really was a god send in that heat. You can probably see from the pictures what a clammy, pale tourist I was. But, nevertheless I had another wonderful time trapsing through the mountains, spotting lizards and turtles and of course gorging myself on the heavenly food. I came back a few days ago with a cheeky tan and a very full belly!

It has been quite hard to adjust and settle back into the busy, rainy race of everyday London life and I am really looking into saving a bit and just running off to a beautiful country to live my days out at the market and the beach; well, one can dream anyway :)

I hope you have all enjoyed the first few weeks of official summer and have lots to look forward to in the coming season.

Lots of love,

Orange Solstice

Hat~Ebay/ Dress~ Beyond Retro/ Shoes~Topshop/Tights~Primark

Hello Darlings,

Summer has finally arrived here in England and after days being smothered in humidity and cheeky rain showers, the bright and breezy days we longed for are here. I decided to mark the occasion by wearing my new vintage dress from Beyond Retro. I felt its bright, floral appearance mimicked the forecast and its magical puffy sleeves helped me gain a spring in my step.

I am really thinking about booking a holiday soon, maybe to the hot springs in Turkey or to see the Northern Lights in Iceland. All I know is I will be glad to have a break from my incredibly early morning shifts and take some time to write and relax.

Do any of you have any exciting adventures planned for the summer?
