Country Weekends

Hat~Vintage/ Skirt~H&M/ Socks~Primark/Top~Beyond Retro

Hey Darlings!

What a warm, sticky and sunny few weeks it has been, especially in London! Although this weather is divine, I felt it best spent in the country by the sea, rather than in the city. So, I went to visit my parents in Devon and what a lovely weekend it was. Trips to the ocean, eating fresh prawns and watching the sunset over the harbour. I really treasure my summer weekends in Devon and I wish I could go back there more often. I am definitely going to try my upmost to do so this summer, despite working like a maniac most of the time!

I didn't bring a lot of clothes with me, so my lovely sister lent me this beautiful sequin top from Beyond Retro. Although, I must say it looks a lot more dashing on her. I am currently living in this H&M suede skirt, it seems to pair just right with most of my outfits.

In other news my holiday to India is nearly booked, I am prepping a market stall for summer and I am planning on filming a room tour this week! Fingers crossed all of these things happen :)

Until next time....lots of love

Orange Solstice

Hat~Ebay/ Dress~ Beyond Retro/ Shoes~Topshop/Tights~Primark

Hello Darlings,

Summer has finally arrived here in England and after days being smothered in humidity and cheeky rain showers, the bright and breezy days we longed for are here. I decided to mark the occasion by wearing my new vintage dress from Beyond Retro. I felt its bright, floral appearance mimicked the forecast and its magical puffy sleeves helped me gain a spring in my step.

I am really thinking about booking a holiday soon, maybe to the hot springs in Turkey or to see the Northern Lights in Iceland. All I know is I will be glad to have a break from my incredibly early morning shifts and take some time to write and relax.

Do any of you have any exciting adventures planned for the summer?

My favourite winter item: The Beret

Winter is fast approaching and it is almost time to start layering up. I will be rummaging around to try and find matching gloves and woolly jumpers.I love this season, despite the cold and wet days it is actually the best time of year to express your style. My favourite and must have item for winter is hats, my head gets so bloody cold and my hair doesn't keep my ears warm enough etc etc. And so for me the most useful, adaptable and all round great hat is a beret. I have been buying them for years and have a collection of colours and I think they are just fantastic and go with everything. I don't think there will ever be a time when a beret isn't contemporary or complimentary. I can't seem to take mine off! Great investment.
