OOTD: Floral Crown, Floral Dress

Flower crown~Crown&Glory/ Flared Floral Dress~Hypnotic Dolly from Vintage Style Me/ Netted skirt~Handmade/ Boots~Vintage Clarks

Finding a nice windy hill or sunny park is often hard to come by in London, you have to really search for a good patch of grass to picnic on. So when my sister and I were having a walk today and discovered this huge park by my university, we were delighted. I was so happy I even had a little lay down on the half damp grass. I can't wait until it's a bit warmer, so we can go there weekly.

I wore a couple of brand new purchases, I have been on a bit of a spending spree recently. I have gotten into the habit of treating myself to a lovely item every time I hand in an assignment (which is a lot recently) and I now need to give my pockets a long old break.
The first new item was a beautiful wine flower crown from Crown & Glory. I have been admiring their head accessories on various bloggers over the past few months and thought it was about time I got my own. I really love how big the roses are and think that the wine colour will go well with a lot of my wardrobe.
My lovely new dress was also something I had been debating about for a while, I got it from one of my  favourite online places, Vintage Style me. I love the skater style, the floral print and velvety fabric, it is a really comfy dress to wear and it is so pretty. I wore this netted skirt underneath, just because the dress is a bit short and because I'm so tall everything needs to be extended, unfortunately!

I can't believe it's March tomorrow, this year is going so quickly!

LFW:Outfit And Shows

Turban~eBay/Black dress~Miss Selfridge/Peacock feather~Primark/Patent shoes~Topshop

Trying to look a bit professional before the show!

Hello my dears! As most of you know, this weekend was London Fashion Week and after putting it off last season, due to work, I decided this season I would give it a go. I was very lucky to attend two events, because of the magazine I write for. So I thought I would share with you my outfit and the different events I went to over the last few days. Sorry for the picture haul, there were just too many!

I will start off with my outfit, I wore my lovely new black sheer dress from Miss Selfridge. I had been lusting after it for ages and it had finally gone into the sale, so I grabbed it quickly. The only problem is it is completely see-through, so I had to buy a night dress from Primark to go underneath it, which worked out really well. So, yes I basically wore pajamas to fashion week! I teamed it with my eBay green turban and pinned a peacock feather to the side for something extra. My usual patent shoes were put onto my feet and I was good to go.

So, the show I went to was for fashion brand Love Mayka's A/W 2014 collection. It was on the 10th floor of an amazing hotel in central London and I got a really great front row seat. It was so exciting to see all the clothes flow past so quickly and so close. I won't ramble too much about it, I wrote a whole article about it here if you'd like to read a bit more.
The second event was an exhibition of Austrian designers collections. These clothes were so beautiful and impeccable I wanted to grab everything off the rails and run. But instead of acting like a mad woman, I just took some snaps and wrote up about it here.

People are often really worried about what to wear to any fashion week and to be honest I was a bit nervy at first. But I think if you love what you wear and your style, then there is no need to worry about what others think. You should always dress for yourself and embrace your personal style. I had a really lovely weekend and hope to see more shows next season.

Did anyone else get to go and what is your opinion on fashion week?

Pancake Day

Valentine nails

Happy Pancake Day everyone! I love Shrove Tuesday, a great excuse to eat a load of sweet treats with everyone. I spent the day with my sister, housemate and boyfriend and we enjoyed wolfing down a load of pancakes, jam and berries.
The outfit above is a simple little mixture and my very lovely friend did my nails all Valentine orientated, which I think are really sweet. I have been wearing my H&M jumper pretty much everyday recently, it's really great to just throw on over anything and I think it was only £12 or so.

I hope you all had a great feast today and you all enjoyed your favourite pancake topping!

Three Looks For Valentine's Day

Hello lovelies! A bit different to my average outfit of the day post today. Seeing as Valentine's Day is coming up, a holiday I am very fickle about, I thought I would do a post on what to wear on the day. Please excuse the cheesy heart in the pictures, I just thought it was a fitting prop! So I chose a selection of three outfits, that could possibly be worn on the day. I went for an overall girly look, but tried not to be too dressy and over the top. Just things I would wear normally, but with a more floaty, feminine vibe, to help feel good on Valentine's. I'm not sure what I will be doing on the day, hopefully just grabbing a load of nice food with my boyfriend, but we shall see, as my work load is pretty crazy at the moment!

I am still unsure as to which is my favourite outfit but I would love to hear your opinions on the outfits and Valentine's day in general!
