Hearts & Hats

Hat~Ebay/Dress~Beyond Retro/ Shoes~Topshop

Well hello there you lovely lot,

What a lovely but very humid weekend we have had here in London. My hair suffered drastically, as those fellow curly haired girls will understand, in this weather our hair just turns to frizz! I felt like Monica in FRIENDS, in the episode where they go to Barbados and her hair goes absolutely mental and she screams 'IT'S THE HUMIDITY'.
So I hid my mental barnet under my new straw hat and cycled down to my sister's for a day of sushi and chat.

This poofy red number is the second of my dresses I picked up last weekend at Beyond Retro. I am so in love with it, I want to wear it everyday forever, even if it is incredibly tight on the torso. I just adore the heart print and cute heart trim around the collar, sleeves and front. The lining of the netted skirt even has little hearts on it. This is one of my favourite vintage finds to date and is going straight on my summer wardrobe rail.

My sister's garden is full of so many little nooks and corners of overgrown ivy and shrubs, it was nice to get some photos in amongst the Spring nature.

Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend and have lots to look forward to in the coming week.

Have you picked up any vintage delights recently?

Weekend Cycle

Dress~Beyond Retro/ Jelly Shoes~Primark/Bike~Halfords

Hello my loves, hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
Finally I managed to go for a cycle today on my beautiful bike I got for Christmas. I had been walking past it in my bathroom for months and felt really sad that I couldn't ride it earlier, due to the typical British weather. So I was chuffed to bits that I could cycle through the town to my sister's, helmet and knee pads intact ( I am ridiculously accident prone). It felt great to have the wind in my hair and all of my worldly possessions in one wicker basket.
I also did a spot of shopping this morning and managed to pick up this cute as a button blue dress from Beyond Retro. With its layers of frills and pastel like coat I feel like it's a cross between Alice in Wonderland and Belle from Beauty and The Beast. I was also pleased to find these sparkly little Jelly numbers, they were only £4 as well, good old Primark.
I decided to try my hand at editing my pictures a bit more this time, so please excuse if some of them are a bit off colour and don't quite match. But hopefully it's something I can improve on.

Hope you have all had a lovely week, will be doing a blog sale very soon so will let you know about that as soon as I have photographed my baskets of garments.

How are you spending your weekend?

Blossom & Pepper

Hair clip~Crown & Glory/Dress~The White Pepper/Socks~Topshop/Shoes~Clarks

Happy Weekend my loves,

What glorious weather we are having, especially in the big old city. I have been trying to spend every moment out of work, in the sun and on the green green grass. Spring really is beautiful. My sister and I went for a brisk walk in the park this morning and I couldn't help but get some snaps next to all the lovely blossoming trees. I wore my new smock dress from The White Pepper, I love anything with gingham and the lose fit is perfect in this season. I teamed it with this sweet little heart clip I picked up from Crown & Glory, around Valentines Day and have been popping in my hair daily ever since.

I can't wait to start having picnics and being able to ride my bike to work.

What do you guys like to do in Spring time?

Brighton Blue

Hello darlings!

Hope you are all well and felt the Spring weather slowly creeping into our weekend. I had a lovely weekend in Brighton, by the seaside and all the cute shops and wonderful people. It was the perfect amount of sunny to get my sunglasses out and not look silly and also to parade down the pier in this vintage bridesmaid dress from Beyond Retro (more on this in a little bit). I tasted the best noodles I have ever had, which were situated on a petite stall towards the end of the pier. I managed to fight my cravings of doughnuts and candyfloss and get something slightly more savory and delicious.
I found the Beyond Retro store in one of the side streets, a huge kitted out warehouse filled with everything a vintage loving girl could wish for. I had been to the shop in London several times, but found I much prefer the Brighton set up. I found this delightful little white dress which I am wearing and also a beautiful camel coat with fur collar, which I am completely thrilled with. Those who follow me on instagram will have probably already seen it.
I just love how colourful and kooky Brighton is and I must visit more often, as I had such a lovely time. I have no excuse either, as it is only an hour away from my London home and cheap as chips if you book a few days in advance.

Enough rambling, Speak soon and lots of love
