OOTD: Layers Of Velvet With Splashes Of Red

Headband~Crown and Glory/Lace blouse~Miss Selfridge/Velvet Skirt~ebay/Socks~Primark/Shoes~Topshop

Hello you lovely lot! The sun has finally been shining in London over the past few days and I have been trying to make the most of it, before it suddenly disappears again.I only have one more week and then all of my university work will have been completed and I can graduate. I can't wait, it seems I have been feeling stressed for so long now and I can't wait to relax in the warmth with some snacks and lovely company.
I spent the day with my sister, doing bits of work and watching re-runs of Veronica Mars (how had I not seen it before!). I wore my favourite hair accessory from Crown and Glory and my brand new blouse from Miss Selfridge. I have a love/hate relationship with midi skirts, as I am tall it often makes me feel like a giant, so I tend to shy away from the length. But seeing as the colour is so lovely and velvet is my absolute favourite, I thought why not and wore it regardless.
I am a little bit in love with my new Topshop shoes, they seem to go with everything, especially sweet socks! They are really comfortable and I really like the little details and suede material.
I have been buying quite a few bits recently, so I may do a haul post in the next week or so. A bit different to my average post, but I think it will be good to branch out.

Spring, is that you?

Collared shirt~ebay/ Tartan pinafore~Mod Dolly/Heeled brogues~ebay

Hey hey! Sorry for my long absence, I have been working constantly towards my degree for the last few weeks and have only now begun to have time to blog properly! But now I am back with a bit more spare time to show you what I have been wearing recently.
This lovely pinafore is from Mod Dolly, one of the sweetest online shops I know. After having my eye on it for a while I finally managed to purchase it. I am so in love with it and it goes well with most shirts and blouses. I styled it with this checkered shirt, a vintage find on ebay, the collar is my favourite thing about the piece. I wasn't sure about the mixing of patterns with this outfit, but I have been really liking clashing colours and patterns in recent months and wanted to try it out myself.
I really recommend buying a pinafore for the summer season, I have seen a lot of them on blogs recently and  have grown to really love them. I can't wait to increase my collection of them, as soon as I've finished my work load.
I hope you are all well and had a lovely Easter! Hopefully Spring will be here properly soon and  I can't wait for when it is safe to not have to wear a cardigan outdoors.
